Hansen Family Movie Night

For the first night in a quite a few weeks we didn't have anything in particular planned. So we decided make it a Hansen Family Movie Night. We laid out a picnic blanket, ordered pizza and even broke out our special High School Musical plates (thanks Gramma Hansen) for the occassion. "Chill Out Scooby Doo" was premiering on cartoon network so after the pizza we snuggled up for the feature presentation. Apparently Jason and I were tired though because we both fell asleep during the show. After we put the kids to bed at 8:15 we lasted for about another 1/2 hour until we decided to go to sleep to. We are getting old!

So much fun!! We love having family movie night :) We do it every time a new Disney Channel Original Movie premieres ... push back the couches and coffee table, pop up the popcorn, spread out the blanket and enjoy!! It's the only time the kids get to eat "on the carpet" so they think that's EXTRA special ;)

family movie nights are the best!! they will seriously go down as one of my all-time favorite things to do with my hubby and kids. we'll have to pass on our secret drink recipe for movie nights--called "Desade"(it's a huge tradition from Sean's family). Basically, it's a pink lemonade slushee. soooo good with popcorn :). love ya!

Sound fun! I need to let loose and do that one of these day. I'm just the boring mom who doesn't watch movies or have fun nights like that. Ok, now I'm committed.
