More Reviews

This book was a sequel to Goose Girl and it was wonderful! Both books have a strong moral undercurrent and very strong female characters. I will definitely encourage my girls to read them when they are teenagers! Shannon Hale may not have won me over with Austenland but she was right on the money with Enna Burning.

Speaking of strong female characters, this novel's lead character is positively heroic. You will totally fall is love with her! She comes from a difficult past to say the least but is able to triumph. Read this if you need a dose of hope.

I just finished Enna Burning 2 days ago. i would have to agree with you I also loved it. I am now moving on to Book of a Thousand Days from Shannon Hale. And as far as Hope Was Here I also agree with you. Actually any book that you read by Joan Bauer is very uplifting with characters that do amazing things even though they may be in different cicurmstances. I just sent you a book so I hope that you enjoy it. Remember I haven't read it so I hope that it is good. Let me know what you think! Love ya!

Read? Read? Read? NO ONE WITH THREE KIDS AS ACTIVE AS YOUR BUNCH SHOULD HAVE THE TIME TO READ! How do you manage it? Last time I was there I read about three CHAPTERS the whole time!

I finally finished Uncle Tom's Cabin, read The City of Ember on the plane (a quick read and I highly recommend it -- however, it ends abruptly and it's necessary to read the sequel, which I'm working on now), and repurchased The Book Thief yesterday so I can finish it. Darn my disorganization! I know that as soon as I finish reading The Book Thief it will turn up in a "most obvious place!" Perhaps I have too many books. No Way!!!

I STILL haven't even started Twilight and I've had it for almost 2 months ... and I start a new online digiscrapping class tomorrow so the next 4 weeks will be shot! How in the world do you find the time?! Especially while balancing Kate's treatment, 2 other kiddos, a husband, training for a marathon, and being the boss of the fall festival?! You must wear a cape under your clothes ;)
