11 Years!

Today Jason and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary. I use the word "celebrate" loosely since the day consisted of work followed by a team in training pasta dinner in preparation for our 20 miler tomorrow and a last minute trip to Target. All of the day's activities revolved around and included the kids too so we didn't officially celebrate our anniversary yet. We hope to do that in 2 weeks after the holiday rush has ended. We did acknoweldge our day though by giving each other cards and small gifts. Jason (whose not the most romantic guy around and usually doesn't see the value of flowers) surprised me with a dozen red roses and a sweet note recounting the first time he gave me flowers while dating. It was a very sweet gesture and didn't go unappreciated.
So, 11 years ago today we were married and on the "longest night of the year" (Winter Solstice) too, as we've heard MANY times. :) I am one lucky woman and I can honestly say that I feel the happiest I ever have and am so grateful to be going through this crazy life with Jason.

Look at those young faces! Congrats on the first 11 years, and 11 more, and 11 more, etc. I'm so glad you found each other - what a perfect couple.

It was a great day 11 years ago when you and Jason married. You are a wonderful wife and mother and we certainly are glad you joined our family. Although 11 years ago Utah was cold and snowy like it is this year, that doesn't really matter -- you two have brought a lot of warmth into our lives since then! You're "one solid team" and we love you both!

Oh, seeing this picture brings back so many memories of hanging out in your apartment at Woodchase. Happy Anniversary to one of our very favorite couples of all time.
